Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. We never see or store your password in readable form.
• Profile details you choose to give: date of birth, gender, where you live (township), JLPT level, computer skills, current situation, your plans and goals (when you plan to work in Japan, and whether your main goal is to learn skills or to earn more), whether you have worked in Japan and, if so, for how many years, with which type of visa and in what kind of job, when you are available for interviews and to start work (and the date you last confirmed this), and your Viber number.
• Work experience note: you may add a short note (up to 500 characters) about your work history. Please do not include ID numbers, health information or details about other people in this note.
• Files you upload: your CV and your JLPT certificate.
• Application activity: the jobs you apply to, the stage of each application, and interview dates and places. We keep a copy of your availability with each application, so the recruiter sees what was true when you applied. If your availability was last confirmed more than 30 days ago, we ask you to confirm it again before you apply.
• Internal notes: our recruiter may write notes about your application or interviews. These notes are for our own use and are not shown to you or to companies.
• Technical data: basic data such as browser type and IP address, collected by our hosting and security systems.

2. How we use your information

• To run your account and show you jobs.
• To match you with suitable jobs, using your plans, goals, work experience and availability, and to decide when to contact you.
• To pass your application to the company that posted the job, and to arrange interviews.
• To contact you by phone, Viber or email about your applications. Your Viber number may differ from your phone number. We use both to contact you, and we share them with a company when you apply for one of its jobs (see section 3).
• To check your JLPT level when you upload a certificate.
• To keep records, prevent misuse and protect the site, and to follow the law.

We do not sell your information.

3. Who we share it with

• The client company of a job you applied to. When you apply, we share your application with that company: your name, phone number, Viber number, email address, profile details, JLPT level and CV, so that it can contact you and arrange an interview. We do not share your information with a company for a job you have not applied to.
• Our service providers who host the site and database, send our emails and protect the site. Your data may be stored or processed on overseas cloud servers and by selected third-party service providers essential to our operations.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

4. Cost

Jy Connect is free for job seekers. We will never ask you for money to apply, to get an interview or to get a job. If someone asks you for money in our name, please tell us.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days. We may keep limited records that we need for legal or accounting reasons, for example a placement record (your name, the job and your start date) on an invoice issued to a company, or a consent record kept without your profile details. Backup copies of our data are kept for a limited time and then deleted. If we ever restore a backup, we delete again any account that had already been deleted.

6. Your choices

• You can view and update your profile and files at any time after you sign in.
• You can withdraw an application at any time.
• You can ask us to correct your information, to give you a copy of it, or to delete your account by contacting us at jyconnect.9@gmail.com or +66 834 600 938.

7. Security

We use access controls so that only you and our recruiter can see your profile and files. Your files are stored privately and are opened only through secure, short-lived links. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong password and do not share it.

8. Age

Jy Connect is for people who are at least 18 years old.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, when needed, ask you to agree again.
